Dorney Wetlands

The birds were all actually on the sewage farm. At the eastern end, a blackcap and a garden warbler were both in song - the latter right on the top of an alder tree.

It wasn't until I uploaded the photos of the cuckoo that I realised there was a second bird, peering out of the elder.

The Small Tortoiseshell butterfly was on the wetlands - making a nice change from Painted blooming Ladies!
